英語の訳で分からないところがあるのです。

hence the concept of the interpretive communities of Karaoke.
自分でも訳してみたのですが、
どうもHow〜の文章から最後のhence〜の文章に上手くつなげて訳せません。
英語の得意な方、どうか教えていただけないでしょうか？
